High-Risk Traveler Course Level II (HRT-II)
Detecting, deterring, countering, and escaping from hostile criminal or terrorist abduction operations.

High-Risk Traveler Course Level II (HRT-II) is an intensive 12-day program designed to equip personnel with the multidisciplinary skills needed for operating independently or within small cells during low-profile, extended-duration assignments in high-risk environments. Tailored for scenarios involving significant threats such as criminal kidnapping, assault, or terrorist targeting, this course focuses on enhancing mission success and personal survivability.
Participants develop advanced personal force protection measures applicable to transit, lodging, dining, and operational settings in high-risk areas. Core disciplines include independent and small-cell operational considerations, operational medicine, day and night defensive and offensive driving tactics, low-profile concealed carry techniques (LPCC), escapology, and vehicle commandeering. Emphasis is placed on detecting, deterring, countering, and escaping from hostile criminal or terrorist abduction operations. Throughout the program, students engage in extensive analysis, hands-on practice, and dynamic exercises to master the skills required for effective force protection.
By the end of the course, participants possess the knowledge and proficiency needed to confidently navigate today’s high-risk global environments while operating independently or in pairs to support their command’s mission objectives.
