Operational Medicine — CUSTOMIZABLE*
Vehicle Extrication Course (VEC)
Knowledge, skills and ability to tactically perform vehicle entry and extrication post-accident during or post attack on the motorcade/convoy.

The Vehicle Extrication Course (VEC) is designed to introduce, develop, and enhance operator knowledge and skills in confined space/collapsed structure/vehicle entry and extrication.
The course covers post-accident scenarios as well as tactical operations during or after attacks on buildings/structures/motorcades/convoys. Students receive instruction on proper procedures and systems to perform extrication in a variety of settings and conditions.
Extensive hands-on training provides practical experience with hand and power tools for window removal, door opening, roof removal, steering wheel manipulation, foot pedal adjustment, dashboard displacement, seat extraction, and vehicle/structure stabilization. Students will conduct simulated rescues of trapped occupants (principal and/or personnel) under realistic conditions. (40-hour course)
