Breaching Facilities & Assets

Dedicated classroom collocated with training area

T1G logo

Purpose-built site assets support dynamic breaching/surgical-entry scenarios.

T1G supports ballistic, thermal, mechanical, and explosive breaching operations.

T1G is an excellent environment for breacher training. All buildings, including the explosives handler’s range and galleries, have well-stocked and well-maintained charge preparation rooms.

The classroom is purpose-built for teaching and building charges. A BATF-approved day box saves time for more teaching and less waiting. Overhead doors open to the breach house, door facade, and breaching conex training area.

Two breach houses each have:

  • eight exterior doors
  • four interior doors
  • two exterior breachable walls
  • four exterior breachable windows

The breachable walls can be CMU solid or hollow, or CMU reinforced with a brick exterior (two layers). The exterior window inserts accept glass, rebar, etc.

Two iron door facades each present ten doors:

  • Two BTI doors in each facade accept wood, metal, and plastic.
  • Two IDC doors provide inserts for doorknob assemblies that can be swapped out in less than one minute.

The breaching conex offers ship doors, ship hatches, and steel plates of varying thicknesses for torch-cutting practice.

The Live-Fire Wadi, Urban Combat Compound, and areas of the Urban MOUT complex are utilized in T1G training.
