FPV UAS Operator Course
Tactical FPV Drone Training for Military and Law Enforcement
Advanced FPV proficiency through three pacing tracks tailored to entry experience.
FPV-OPS develops complete First-Person View capabilities from foundation to advanced tactical employment. One comprehensive military drone training curriculum. One set of standards. One operational outcome. The only variable is pacing based on your starting point.
Three Entry Tracks, Same Destination
- FPV-OPS-I (Entry Level): Build, repair, and fly FPV drones. Master flight dynamics, maintenance, and basic tactical employment. Foundation for advanced operations.
- FPV-OPS-II (Intermediate): Layer FPV operations with ISR support. Target handoff protocols, ATAK integration, coordinated strike planning. Transition from solo to team operations.
- FPV-OPS-III (Advanced): Full shooter-spotter operations. Multi-drone coordination, complex BDA, follow-on strike management. Lead FPV-ISR teams in multi-domain operations.
All levels achieve the same end state—mastery of advanced FPV flight dynamics, maintenance, and tactical operations—through hands-on training, technical instruction, and Situational Training Exercises (STX) within T1G’s 777-acre unrestricted operational environment. The program emphasizes real-world tactical applications, ensuring operators are confident and competent in FPV operations for contemporary battlefield and specialized mission profiles.

FPV-ISR Team Operations
(Intermediate/Advanced Focus)
Modern FPV employment requires seamless coordination with ISR assets – applying the proven shooter-spotter relationship from sniper operations to drone warfare.
The Operational Sequence:
This layered employment teaches operators to think in teams, not individual aircraft. The difference between flying drones and employing them tactically. Intermediate operators learn basic ISR coordination and target handoff. Advanced operators execute complex scenarios with multiple FPVs, degraded communications, and time-critical targets.
Complete FPV Training Progression
Flight Operations: Pre-flight checks through BVLOS operations. Hover stability to high-speed navigation. Obstacle courses through actual structures. Terrain following across 777 unrestricted acres. Formation flying with multi-aircraft coordination. Autonomous flight programming and waypoint navigation.
Technical Proficiency: Component identification to circuit board diagnosis. Battery management for extended operations. Field repairs under time pressure. Custom configurations for mission requirements. Advanced payload integration including specialized cameras and release mechanisms.
Tactical Employment: Mission planning with ISR coordination. Target handoff procedures and ATAK integration. Complex engagement sequences with real-time BDA. Electronic warfare considerations and GPS-denied operations. Multi-drone swarm tactics. Full integration with ground forces during combined operations.
Validation: Every operator completes comprehensive Situational Training Exercises. ISR-supported strike missions. Multi-domain operations with ground forces. Live scenarios replicating current operational environments including Ukraine-style FPV employment.
The Training Environment
777 acres without restrictions. Real ISR drones providing actual overwatch. Live ATAK server for authentic C2 integration. Practice target marking, handoff, and BDA procedures with actual aircraft, not simulation.
Entry-level operators might need 10 days to reach proficiency. Advanced operators with ISR experience might achieve it in 5. The timeline adapts. The standard – including full FPV-ISR integration – never changes.
