The 1,000-meter Known Distance Range provides measured firing points and pit-supported manual shot marking for precision data collection. The range supports up to six 2-man (shooter and observer) teams per relay for day and night courses of fire. Carriage-type target pits allow safe, precise manual marking with 1″, 3″, and 5″ spotters — the gold standard for confirming individual shooter data at distance.
The KD range supports lateral moving, stop-and-go, and limited exposure bobbing targets for developing and confirming leads on moving targets. Weapons platforms from 5.56mm carbines through .338 Lapua and Norma Magnum are supported. Pair the KD range with the adjacent 1000m Unknown Distance Range and the 4-story precision tower for a complete sniper training package, or integrate with the MOUT complex and sniper hides for overwatch scenarios.
