Range 2

100yd Multipurpose Range

Fast-turning targets support threat | non-threat discrimination

20 lanes. Computerized turning targets. Assess, refine, and zero.

Range 2 is a 100-yard, 20-lane multipurpose range built for assessing and enhancing reactionary rifle skills. The range master remotely controls pneumatic, computerized 90° turning targets that rotate in groups of two to twenty per lane. Targets turn and appear briefly before turning sideways — threat/non-threat discrimination reaction times scale down to 0.5 seconds from edge to face. Fundamental skill enforcements include lateral movement across the range and point-of-contact to cover and concealed barricades.

Range 2 feeds directly into shoot house iterations — units assess and refine marksmanship fundamentals here before progressing to live-fire CQB. For pistol-specific work, Rogers Range is the dedicated platform. For extended distance and competition formats, pair with the Steel Monster (Range 3) or Hogan’s Alley (Range 4). The Tactical-Combat Marksmanship and CQB courses use this range. Supports pistol, shotgun, machine gun, and rifle up to 7.62mm.

Targetry & Power Redundancy ➞ Ranges 1-4

always training | never waiting

Air Compressor System:

Five networked compressors across three locations — all five support all four ranges. If one goes down, the others pick up the load without interrupting training. Reserve storage tanks on R1 and R4 maintain operation during power transitions.

  • R1 Compressor Shed: 2 compressors (primary and secondary)
  • R3 Compressor Shed: 1 compressor
  • R4: 2 compressors

Electrical Power System:

Triple-redundant power across the range complex. Primary electrical feeds all systems. A primary backup generator kicks in automatically. A secondary backup generator provides hook-up capability for extended operations. R4 adds individual control over every lane and every target — isolate a problem without shutting down adjacent lanes. One target down doesn’t stop the course of fire.

  • Primary: Main electrical power
  • Secondary: Primary backup generator
  • Tertiary: Secondary backup generator (hook-up capability)
