Protective Security Detail Course

Protective Security Detail Course (PSD) training builds the full spectrum of skills required to provide 360-degree security for principals in hostile and semi-permissive environments. Over seven days, teams train across four integrated disciplines: concealed carry marksmanship from static and mobile platforms, Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) for lone operators and paired cells, motorcade and evasive driving including PIT techniques and vehicle assault resistance (VAR), and PSD-specific operations from route surveys to venue security to evacuation procedures. The program culminates in role-player- and patient-model-supported situational training exercises (STX) modeled on current operational scenarios. T1G builds PSD packages around your team’s deployment profile and operational requirements.

Teams train concealed carry draws from multiple body positions, seated presentation drills, and low-light engagements with discriminatory target arrays. Medical training covers hemorrhage management, airway intervention, thoracic trauma, and low-visibility improvised care — the TCCC skills that keep a principal alive during the evacuation timeline. Driving progresses from vehicle dynamics through high-speed escape maneuvers, barricade breaching, and multi-vehicle formation driving on T1G’s WPS-certified paved track. PSD operations run from foot-mobile escort formations through mounted motorcade TTPs, attack recognition at choke points, down-vehicle drills, and counter-ambush responses — day and night. Every discipline feeds into the culminating STX, where the team runs complete protective operations against live opposition on T1G’s MOUT complex and road network. T1G’s backside support team resets facilities between iterations so the team stays on the objective instead of managing logistics.
