Operational Medicine — CUSTOMIZABLE
High-Angle Rescue Refresher & Extrication
Pararescue-led high-angle rescue — rigging operations, improvised techniques, and vertical environment extraction.

High-Angle Rescue Refresher & Extrication (HARR) is a specialized course led by Subject Matter Experts with Pararescue backgrounds and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) certifications. These instructors bring extensive real-world experience from both civilian rescue operations and combat deployments — the techniques they teach are drawn from missions they’ve executed, not textbooks they’ve read.
Students build proficiency across the core high-angle rescue skill set through detailed demonstrations followed by extensive hands-on repetition: rope selection and application in rescue environments, practical knot systems, anchor-point rigging, patient belay techniques, lowering and lifting system construction, and SKEDCO operations for vertical casualty evacuation. Training covers both standard rigging procedures for structured environments and improvised hasty techniques for situations where standard equipment isn’t available. Every block is hands-on — students rig, belay, lower, and extract under instructor supervision until the techniques are automatic.
