Advanced Combat Medic Course

Advanced Combat Medic Course (ACMC) is an advanced, medic-level program for experienced medics, corpsmen, and medical providers operating at the point of care. This 40-hour course builds the clinical decision-making and extended care capabilities required to manage combat casualties across the full spectrum — from initial reception through field clinic and Battalion Aid Station (BAS) operations to prolonged care during MEDEVAC delay. Training is scenario-driven, placing medics in high-pressure environments that demand real-time triage, treatment prioritization, and resource management under operational stress.

T1G builds each ACMC iteration around the unit’s mission profile and medical gaps, drawing from 26 skill areas that span the full combat medical continuum. That depth means a medic team preparing for a MEDEVAC-denied deployment gets heavy focus on prolonged care, IV/IO resuscitation, blood product administration, and field anesthesia — while a BAS-oriented rotation emphasizes casualty reception, triage sequencing, GSW management, and advanced suturing. The available curriculum runs from advanced hemorrhage control and surgical airway management through blast and burn treatment, pediatric and geriatric trauma, environmental emergencies, veterinary medicine fundamentals, and MEDEVAC/CASEVAC coordination.
