SOF Protection and High-Risk Driver

SOF Protection and High-Risk Driver Course (SOF-P & HRD) integrates mobility, personal force protection, and combatives into a single 6-day package. Operators develop the ability to detect, counter, and neutralize threats while navigating the inherent risks of operating in high-threat environments. The course opens with defensive and offensive driving on paved, unpaved, and off-road terrain — vehicle recovery, evasive maneuvers, and high-stress driving on both manual and automatic transmissions. Operators train on platforms replicating North Africa and Middle East operational theaters. Unique to this program is the integration of combatives and low-profile concealed carry (LPCC) tactics, building seamless transitions between lethal and non-lethal self-defense under progressively complex scenarios.

Driving progresses from vehicle dynamics through convoy operations, counter-ambush drills, PIT and ramming workshops, damaged vehicle drills, and wounded crewman procedures on T1G’s WPS-certified paved track and unimproved roads course. Off-road recovery covers independent and multi-vehicle techniques using the full equipment loadout. Force protection integrates combatives with LPCC fighting strategies — drawing from concealment, fighting from within and around vehicles, glass shoots, and dismounted immediate action drills. Static and mobile live-fire exercises combine driving and marksmanship into realistic day and night scenarios. This is the course for SOF operators deploying to environments where the vehicle is both the primary mode of movement and the most likely point of contact. T1G’s backside support team handles vehicle staging, track reset, and equipment so the team trains continuously.
