Tactical On / Off-Road Driving — CUSTOMIZABLE
Close Protection Driving
Personal force protection, mobility, vehicle commandeering, vehicle recovery, defensive/offensive driving (day/night) to both detect and counter threats in high-risk environments

Close Protection Driving (CPD) equips PSD teams with the mounted operations skills critical for protecting principals in high-risk, asymmetrical environments. Training opens with a tactical marksmanship refresher, then progresses through tactical driving, vehicle crew operations, and multi-vehicle tactics in urban and rural settings. Operators learn to move effectively through congested areas, identify and avoid threats, and respond decisively during transit to ensure the safety of passengers and principals. The course builds to operational-level survivability skills during mounted contacts — individual and team driving techniques, vehicle maneuvering as a unit, and coordinated threat response. Training culminates in scenario-based exercises with Simunitions and live fire, day and night.
CPD shares Performance Points with T1G’s Close Protection Tactical Marksmanship (CP-TMS) and CP-PSD Tactics curricula — the three build a complete close protection skill set when combined. Driving-specific training covers vehicle dynamics and control, high-speed driving, escape maneuvers, PIT, barricade breaching, close-proximity and formation driving, vehicle assault resistance (VAR), and threat assessment across attack scenarios. All driving runs on T1G’s WPS-certified paved track with access to the unimproved roads course for austere environment work. Teams running a full PSD training package combine CPD with Protective Security Detail and Executive Protection Driver Training to cover the complete mounted and dismounted protection mission.
T1G can customize a multidiscipline event that supports your operational tempo and requirements. Integrated courses help to maximize your training effort and meet budget considerations. Let’s talk about it.
